Hi Gordon, great …
Hi Gordon, great review, im buying a new DSLR soon and thinking of getting D80 beacuse im taking photography more seriously and want to do it in collage. But i don’t know if i don’t need to D80 yet and i would be better off with D60. Or do you think that the D80 would be better for collage and allround photography?

now that this camera has come down substantially in price (from about 1299-799) i think that i am finally going to purchase it. i would go for the d90, but its still a little pricy and i do not really need another video camera or 2 more megapixels

Ive had a D80 for the past 3 months now and about 2 weeks ago I noticed that after I take a photo, or when Im viewing a photo, the camera will momentarily freeze and LED screen will show a flashing “low battery” signal. It happened more frequently as I filled up my camera.

Could just be that my camera has alot of memory and is slowing down. Or should I really get it checked out?

Hi Joe, no it …
Hi Joe, no it doesn’t take videos. The only DSLR which can do video is the Nikon D90, out in the shops this month. The D80 is typically bundled with an 18-135mm lens, while the D90 will be bundled with an 18-105mm lens – but with anti-shake. Please visit cameralabs . com for our D90 preview.

Huh, it got the d80 kit, the exact one you have in the video with the 18-135mm kit. I am now buying a new lens. I am looking into the one you mentioned at the end of this clip (Nikon 18-200mm f3.5-5.6 G AF-S DX VR Lens). I got a website and blog with some shots I am taken of my graphic design works. Please check it out. Q-CUBE[dot]COM

o gordon, I’m ordering a D80 tonight, but i kinda wonder, is a 2gb memorycard enough? that’s whats included. And I wonder, Is the d80 the right camera for me? I’m going to photo mainly Moto-cross, Ice-hockey, snowmobiling.. Pretty fast sports etc.
I’m pretty much a noob(=newbie) in these areas but I don’t wanna buy a budget camera
